United Steelworkers’ Civil Human Rights conference will host a panel with Celeste Taylor of REMP, Global Affairs and Workplace Institute’s Equity Rights Representative Kai Lai, and NAACP National Civic Engagement Director Kirk Clay to discuss the Civil Rights Movement.
This panel seeks to create an open and honest dialog on what Civil rights is and what the Civil Rights Movement means. It hopes to examine both historical and contemporary issues in the Civil Rights Movement and critically examine what gains have been made and what steps must be taken to ensure progress is continued and systematic moving into the future.
